First look of Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1

Following the enormous success of “Kantara: A Legend” last year, Hombale Films is set to enthral audiences once more with “Kantara Chapter 1.” The first look at the highly anticipated film has been released, promising an intense and divine experience.

Rishab Shetty made history by acting in and directing Kantara, a Kannada superhit film released in 2022. Following a massive response in Karnataka, the film was released across the country in various languages and went on to find acceptance throughout India. Kantara Legend: Chapter 1 is the first look at Kantara 2, and it gives a glimpse into the birth of the legend on which Kantara is based.

The story begins during the reign of the Kadamba Dynasty, Karnataka’s ancient royal family. The video then shows a man whose chiselled body is covered in blood while he wears rudraksh and has long, curly hair and a beard. The man looks up, holding a trishul, to reveal his face and fiery eyes.

The first look received a lot of positive feedback from fans. “Confirmed…,” one user commented.”This film will establish Indian cinema on a global scale,” wrote another, “it’s not just a teaser, it’s goose bumps.”

Surprisingly, the video concludes with seven different ragas of music, one for each of the seven languages in which Kantara Chapter 1 will be released.

In an earlier interview, Rishab had given updates about the sequel. He said, “Writing and pre-production is going on. This year we will start shooting and next year release karne ka plan hai bas (Next year we plan to release it).” He remained tight-lipped about the details of Kantara 2 and said that the team will announce everything at the right time. “Aisa nahi karte hum log. Ek official announcement karte hai, proper mahurat rakhe (This is not how we do it. We will make an official announcement and keep a proper mahurat ceremony for that).”

According to trade website Sacnilk, Kantara earned more than Rs 363.82 crore in gross India and Rs 407.82 crore in total worldwide. According to reports, the film’s budget was Rs 16 crore.

Kantara Legend Chapter 1 will be released in seven languages, including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayala, Hindi, Bangla, and English, and will be produced by Vijay Kiragandur’s Hombale Films.
