Elmo Celebrates 1989 Taylor’s Version

Elmo has become a member of the Swifties’ constantly growing list!

The cherished fuzzy red muppet paid a charming homage to a timeless Taylor Swift hit song on Friday in respect of the release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version).

“‘Cause Elmo will never go out of style,” was the message that the well-known Sesame Street character’s account on X, formerly known as Twitter, posted in honour of the pop star. It included a picture of a Polaroid of Elmo. Yeah baby! #1989TaylorsVersion.”

Elmo’s photo had its own set of Easter eggs, in true Swift style.

In addition to including a tribute to the song “Style,” fans will notice that Elmo is holding a camera against a backdrop of seagulls and a blue sky in his photo.

Swift was having an exceptionally hectic year.

The first announcement of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) came during the Eras Tour’s last stop in Los Angeles. The singer added several more dates to her international tour schedule as a result of the tour’s success, and the concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour was released as a result.

Following its release on October 12, the concert film enjoyed even greater success, making $92.8 million in ticket sales during its three-day premiere and Thursday night previews. As of right now, it has the distinction of being the fifth-biggest theatrical release opening of the year.
